Hero Electric partners with 6th edition of Tour of Karnataka

Hero Electric, India’s Largest Electric two-wheeler company recently partnered with the prestigious Tour of Karnataka for its 6th Edition. The flagship event is organised by Cadence90, the bicycle experience centre based out of Bangalore, that extends services that include Custom Tours, Bicycle Rentals, and Custom Bike Builds. The Tour of Karnataka is a strenuous cycling tour across some of the most picturesque locations and breathtakingly scenic routes in Karnataka. Its previous editions saw some incredible riders who cycled across pristine villages and coastal highways

The 4-day cycling tour began on the 24th of November 2020, during the course of which 37 riders pedalled for approximately 465 km in the Western Ghats of Karnataka. The tour was gruelling, beginning at 6:30 am every day, and continuing through to 6 PM. The 6th edition this year was the toughest as the riders faced challenging routes starting from Hassan, via Chikmagalur, Kalasa, Udupi, ending with Kodachadri, the 13th highest mountain peak in Karnataka. The routes were laden with daunting climbs as high as 1819 m, rainforests, and unpredictable countryside in the remote interiors.

This year’s TOK participants included Vivek Anand PS, Founder & MD of OAKS Asset Management, Vishnu Bhat, Founder & Chairman of Blue Neem Medical Devices; Satish Addanki, Founder of Ridepositive.com and a hardcore cyclist who has cycled across the globe; and Vishal Rajani, Founder & CEO of Synergos, a leading Digital Marketing Agency in Bangalore. At the end of the tour, four winners emerged from the tour in 4 different categories.

– Mr. Niranjan Rao: Winner of the “Spirit of ToK” was awarded a brand-new Hero Electric Optima HX from Dealer Principal, Sudarshan Singh of Tanishka Motors.
